Drain Excavation

Conro and sons has extensive experience in drainage excavation including deep drainage. The team consists of experienced pipe layers and excavator operators with the ability to follow drawings and work alone or with fellow contractors. This team can also be deployed to site where the survey team have identified a problem.

We are able to find the problem, from our findings offer you a method to resolve the problem and how we will access it. Options will be offered enabling you the client to make an informed decision based on our report.

Conro and sons offers a full drainage support package to large and small developers on both commercial and residential projects. As a team we will produce a manageable program of works and an activity schedule. Will report to the client weekly alerting them of any issues or problems that may mean a deviation from the projects critical path.

Jetting Services

Conro and Sons, Survey Solutions can deploy high pressure jetting equipment to 2000 PSI. This equipment is the most effective way to clear blockages in any your drainage systems. Carrying 7000 litres of water and licensed to fill on site from local hydrants to redeploy. Once jetted the blockage debris is vacuumed out of the chamber and disposed off site.

Our camera surveys are carried out nationally within the commercial and residential sectors of the construction industry. Survey Solutions have found a niche in surveying historic developments identifying problems on systems installed by others. Producing programs of works to carry out remedial works, supplying labour, plant and materials to rectify them in order for the developer to attain adoption and maintenance standard.

Technical Information

This camera is the 2023 model fitted with an LED light around a 47mm self-levelling HD camera lens capable of recording high-definition video and still images during the survey. The camera is supplied with a 90-meter push cable and skids to centralize the camera lens within the drainage runs. The camera module is capable of recording a text entry report or an audio recording of the drain survey. All the survey footage can be saved to the terabyte onboard memory or to USB memory sticks.

Once the data has been saved, it can be used to compile a detailed report for the client, which is supported by a paper copy report with a detailed breakdown of any issues found and the remedial actions required to rectify any issues within the surveyed drainage run.

Conro and Sons' survey team can deploy as a two-man team nationally, often with as little as hours' notice. The survey team operates with the support of a high-pressure jetter and team. Carrying 7,000 litres of water for jetting purposes, the equipment can replenish from any hydrant using its metered standpipe, which is licensed. The jetter is also fitted with a vacuum pump to remove any debris arising from blockages or site debris buildup.

The Survey Solution team, in conjunction with the jetter team, can supply a total drainage reactionary service for both the commercial and private sectors.

Our teams are fully trained, with NRSWA qualifications, and are equipped with Highway Approved PPE and barriers.

FAQs

What equipment do you use to identify problems?

By using our sophisticated Metrotech Vcam 6 camera system our teams can quickly survey and identify any problems within the system. Whether the problem is a broken pipe, breached pipe, collapsed pipe, root ingress or the dreaded wet wipes. We will find it and identify it in a detailed meaningful report.

Our Vcam 6 is pushed along the drainage run by a member of the 2 man survey team gaining entry to the system via a manhole chamber or rodding eye. The camera is self levelling, fully calibrated to give an accurate distance measure, has a zoom capacity, text entry is made by the second operative throughout the survey. All video and still footage is made in full high definition colour.

Can you only survey for new drains?

Our survey services can be used to survey old drains with a view to making a new connection.

Surveys can be carried out for clients that have had an extension and our report can be submitted as part of their over build agreement.

When will I receive my report?

Once the survey is complete the survey solutions team will produce a detailed written report within three working days, supported with video and still images.

Full drainage surveys can be carried out on pre-purchase as part of your survey, new builds, historic builds, to locate blockages, to locate damage with fully calibrated equipment to record distance and depths of both storm and foul.
